Во второй половине 1940-х – середине 1950-х гг. для государственного аппарата СССР особую актуальность приобрела проблема подготовки компетентных кадров, способных в кратчайшие сроки эффективно решить основные задачи послевоенного восстановления страны. Для этого в стране была организована система партийных учебных заведений, одним из элементов которой стали областные, краевые и республиканские партийные школы. В данной статье подробно описана структура и особенности организации работы Оренбургской (Чкаловской) областной партийной школы при обкоме КПСС. Автор на основе архивных документов проводит анализ качества преподавательского состава, материально-технического обеспечения школы и др. Представлен вклад школы в подготовку руководящих кадров региона. Статья содержит богатый статистический материал.

In the postwar period the party faced the task of creating an effective system of training and retraining of cadres to provide the sphere of party and Soviet work with theoretically trained and educated people as soon as practicable. It was conditioned by some discrepancies between the complex economic and political challenges to be solved after the end of World War II and the level of ideological and theoretical and practical proficiency of cadres.
The party authorities increased the influx of new staff in the postwar period, when former military began to return to civilian life. Many of them had no experience in peaceful conditions, did not have the ideological and theoretical, and some of them, even general educational development. Cadres, promoted for the party and Soviet work on the eve of the war, also did not possess necessary build-up.
The country has created a unified system of party schools, which included the Higher Party School, national, regional, provincial and party schools of the Central Committee of the Communist Parties of the Union republics, of territorial and regional committees of the CPSU(b).
