В статье рассматривается динамика представленности субкультур граффити и стрит-арта в городской среде: от маргинальности к формам легитимации этих арт-практик в городском сообществе. В начале ХХ века возникают такие практики легитимации, как выставки, аукционы, фестивали, экскурсии, коммерческие заказы на роспись стен и др. Возникновение подобных форм свидетельствует об изменении функций данных арт-практик. Подробно рассматриваются экскурсии по объектам граффити и стрит-арта в России и за ее пределами. Делается вывод о том, что данная форма легитимации способна служить инструментарием познания различных аспектов жизни города.

The article explores the dynamics of representation of the subcultures of graffiti and street art in the urban environment. Cities are territories characterized by a wide economic, environmental, political and cultural diversity. The urban way of life influences the way in which people create and develop different cultural phenomena. The article studies the forms of legitimation of the subcultures of graffiti and street art with a view to determining them. At first the subcultures of graffiti and street art were considered to be hostile because they were the subcultures of protesting African American and Latino young people, as well as street gangs in the USА whose members use graffiti to mark their territory, that is why graffiti and street art became marginal phenomena exhibiting high levels of aggressiveness. In the 1980s graffiti and street art spread all over the world and came into new socio-cultural conditions of existence. In the early 2000s these artistic practices became part of modern art. There have appeared such forms of legitimation as exhibitions, auctions, festivals, tours, etc. The author of the article points out that the attitude of the urban community to these art practices is changing. Graffiti and street art have won their "right to the city".
