В статье изложена авторская позиция на теоретические и методологические проблемы развития политической науки в России. По мнению автора, отечественная политическая наука находится под сильным влиянием американской политический теорий, созданных в 1950-1970-е в определенных исторических условиях и рассчитанные на социальные практики и научные традиции, присущие индустриальному обществу. В условиях информационного общества, сетевых структур, развития нелинейных процессов использование данных теорий ведет к искаженному описанию действительности, неточности политических прогнозов и рекомендаций.

The article describes the author's position on the theoretical and methodological problems of the development of political science in Russia. According to the author, the domestic political science is heavily influenced by American political theories developed in 1950-1970 under certain historical conditions and designed for social practices and scientific traditions that are characteristic of the industrial society. In the conditions of the information society, network structures, the development of nonlinear processes the use of these theories leads to a distorted description of reality, inaccurate political forecasts and recommendations. It is important for the Russian political science to adapt to the multidimensionality and nonlinearity of the modern world, to find its level in the system of knowledge reproduction, to build new relations with society and authority. It is essential to overcome the complex of theoretical dependence on American science. The Russian political science should take a kind of inventory of the knowledge accumulated over the preceding decades. It is necessary to analyze which of the theories have stood the test of practice and which of them have failed, which of the concepts and theories should be included in the curriculum in a high school and which of them can be optional, or even excluded from the curriculum.
