В статье рассмотрена политика формирования страховых запасов готовой продукции на предприятиях горнодобывающей отрасли, приводится классификация подходов к процессу их формирования.

The article describes the policies of the reserve stocks formation of end products at the mining industry enterprises, which relies on the logistics strategy placing special demands to the process of stock management. They serve as a basis for the transformation of stocks into the resources of essential business processes such as priority reserves classification, allowing focus on core activities, as well as methods of results evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the reserves. Normally the consumer demand should be treated as an independent factor, but in some cases the demand in the distribution channel becomes dependent. Thereby in some parts of the distribution channel the dependent and independent demand exist in parallel and it is required to coordinate them. As a result, the manufacturer gets a clear view of the demand emanating from members of two or more levels of the distribution channel, which naturally leads to reduction in uncertainty and reducing the need for reserve stocks.
