В статье представлены данные о проведенном анкетировании, цель которого – определить необходимость владения компьютерными навыками среди незанятого населения, его результаты и анализ. Отражены возрастные характеристики, показатели уровня образования и интересы населения стремящегося повысить уровень владения компьютерной компетенцией.

The article presents data of the conducted survey on "computer literacy". This course is very popular among the unemployed. The purpose of the study is to determine the need for computer skills mastering among the unemployed. The study comprised three steps: compilation of questions list, survey and analysis. The objectives are: the determination of the age of questioned students, their level of education, the reasons behind the development of computer skills. The survey has been conducted for six months (April-September 2012). The survey results defined age characteristics, education indicators and members of the public seeking to improve their computer competence. Most of the course participants are with an insufficient computer knowledge, the people of retirement age. Most of them have higher technical education. The survey showed that the purpose of attending courses is not connected with job hunting. Some listeners explains their motive for the interest in learning new technologies, the opportunities to develop yourself further in the key of the previously acquired knowledge. The main reasons for visiting the Training Centre is the desire to keep up with the times and understand the younger generation, the desire for self-fulfillment and the diversity of their leisure time. Not surprisingly because the form of adult education in Russia is called "supplementary education" leaves outside its focus 25% of the population, which called "pensioners".
