В статье рассматриваются результаты социологического опроса жителей CКФО касательно деятельности исполнительной и законодательной ветвей власти.

The article considers the results of the sociological survey of residents of North-Caucasian Federal district about the activities of the executive and legislative branches of government.
According to official papers today's Russia is a democratic federal state with a republican form of government. The head of state – the president. The president is also the supreme commander of the armed forces. Executive power is exercised by the government headed by the chairman appointed by the president with the consent of the State Duma. The distinguishing feature of a presidential republic is that the president acts simultaneously as a head of the state and as a head of the government, directs domestic and foreign policy. Russia is a presidential republic.
The republican form of government involve a test question of whether it is presidential or parliamentary republic.
Experts believe that for the presence there is no much difference in the fact that we have the president – separately, and the prime minister – separately as well, because the latter obeys the instructions of the president. During the absence of the prime minister the president sits in, and when the prime minister in place, ll major decisions he agrees with the president.
Political and economic developments taking place in the country affect all areas of life to some extent. Opinion polls are the main opportunity for ordinary citizens to convey their views to the authorities and to influence upon their decisions.
