Last issue of the journal in 2013 covers a wide range of topics related to culture, language and mental diversity of the worldview. Authors of the journal articles disclose thought and world outlook patterns in Tibetan culture (S.V. Kurasov), various Caucasian (E.S. Chumachenko, S.A. Aliyeva, H.M. Kadachieva, M.Z. Gadzhidadaeva), Iranian (M. Reza, A. Parviz) and other languages. Among the objects of study in this issue – historical phenomena of the language experience (I.B. Gorlanova, M.V. Galla, M.V. Volosova), as well as phenomena of the national literary process (G.A. Golovchenko, Z.Sh. Surhaeva). This issue of the journal "Language. Philology. Culture" puts up foreign readers to studies of national scientists for the first time published in English, and also, by tradition, presents all the necessary information about the articles of this issue.
The most important unifying topic of this issue is a topic of cultural dialogue, intercultural communication, and its basis – the problem of mutual intelligibility. It is the desire to understand another culture, to feel it, to realize its value, that mobilizes the study of the mysteries of Tibet and creativity of Dickens, encourages to compare the expression of values in Persian and Russian, in British and Avar linguoculture. While there is a desire for cultural dialogue, a civilization will win glocalization, answering its challenges by simple and positive affirmations.
Next issue coming in 2014 will be dedicated to the heritage of the English poet and artist William Blake, and its pages will meet again Russian and Western authors who are not indifferent to the creativity of this unique original romantic.
